 Eisemann
Educates
Outreach Program
Eisemann Educates is the education and outreach component of “Eisemann
Center Presents” and enables the Eisemann Center to be more
to the community than just an extraordinary rental facility for
performing arts and corporate events. From its very inception,
one of the goals of the Eisemann Center has been to make it a
place where thousands of children and youth have their eyes
opened with wonder by the beauty and spectacle of the performing
arts — a place where teamwork, self-esteem and creativity are
encouraged and developed. However, we cannot do it alone. It is
the generous contributions from our corporate partners and “Friends”
that make it possible for us to continue serving our young
people with the very best in arts entertainment and education
initiatives, broadening imaginations and unleashing potential.
Your generosity is the passport for these students to all that
the performing arts have to offer.
The outreach initiatives of Eisemann Educates have made it
possible for over 4,000 children, youth and adults from
underserved populations to have access to the performing arts
through performance tickets enabling them to experience the
magic of live entertainment at the Eisemann Center.
The program began in the 2004-2005 Season with a Paul Taylor
Dance Company Master Class; the weeklong “Woven Harmony”
residency by artists Rebecca and Robert Bluestone and a series
of workshops with Ethos Percussion Group in local schools. The
program has offered such diverse activities as Master Classes
with Garth Fagan Dance and Pilobolus; post-performance Question
and Answer (Q&A) sessions with the Duke Elllington Orchestra and
Garth Fagan; and on-site residency workshops at schools
throughout the North Texas area. Other arts education
opportunities have been provided through a community partnership
with the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), which has enabled
Eisemann Educates to produce residency activities with the
Alexander String Quartet and classical guitarists The Romeros.
