Family Theatre Series
The Family Theatre Series has been part of Eisemann Center
Presents since the 2008-09 Season. We have created a program of
six shows each presented on Sunday afternoon, targeted solely to
children and families. The shows are each staged by a
professional touring children’s theatre company. Through this
Series, we bring some of the great children’s classics alive for
children and families alike to enjoy. Each presentation takes
place in the beautiful Hill Performance Hall, which allows us to
open our doors to thousands of community families each season,
and provides children a great and memorable experience in the
performing arts. It is our intention that the Family Theatre
Series gives children an early start in loving live performing
arts, and will in turn provide families a memorable, yet
low-cost bonding experience.
Giving children a great experience with live performing arts
early in their lives will have a strong impact upon how they
respond to the arts later in life. The Family Theatre Series
gives families in North Texas an appropriate, yet entertaining
option for a family outing. Many of the shows presented address
topics which children in our community deal with, such as social
pressures, mischief or feeling like they do not quite fit in.
Through the Family Theatre Series, children can see the
characters on stage dealing with these hard topics, and in turn,
become better equipped to face them on their own. Come as you
are and enjoy an interactive and educational family experience
with a live theatre performance at the Eisemann Center.
